Les styles musicaux trouvés sur Flight of the Migrator contrastent avec son homologue The Dream Sequencer , illustrant un voyage sauvage et tumultueux à travers les étendues tumultueuses et chaotiques de l'espace. En accord avec le contexte de l'histoire, le ton de l'album est beaucoup plus lourd, exsudant une sensation de métal puissante, axée sur la guitare tout au long.
