Icône exentrique, apôtre du pop-art, Andy Warhol a été un touche-à-tout, peintre, illustrateur, photographe, producteur, cinéaste, éditeur, auteur. Il a signé quelques une des plus belles pochettes dalbums. Pour Sticky Fingers, les Rolling Stones ont demandé à Andy Warhol de concevoir ce qui deviendrait lune des couvertures dalbum les plus populaires de lépoque.
La pochette de ce 9ème album des Stones dispose dune fermeture éclair qui souvre pour révéler un homme en sous-vêtements de coton.
Voici un collector : loriginal de la lettre envoyée par Mick Jagger à Andy Warhol, dans lequel il avertit poliment lartiste des difficultés de production. Warhol nen a évidemment pas tenu compte et produit une couverture qui a causé toute sorte de problèmes, interdiction en Espagne, et surtout copies rayées du disque, à cause de la fermeture-éclair. Finalement lalbum était envoyé aux détaillants fermeture ouverte jusquau milieu du disque afin de réduire les dégâts le plus possible.
